Le Noir Cares Impact Report:
March 2026

March 6, 202610 min readBy Le Noir Cares Team

Welcome to our first monthly impact report. At Le Noir Cares, transparency isn't a buzzword—it's our foundation. This is where we show you exactly what we're doing, what we've accomplished, and what's next.

Action Over Awareness

Most nonprofit organizations talk about "raising awareness." We're different. We believe the African diaspora—and the world—is already aware of Congo's challenges. What's missing isn't awareness. It's action.

That's why we launched Le Noir Cares in March 2026 with a simple promise: 100% of profit of all revenue goes directly to programs in Democratic Republic of Congo. Not "overhead." Not "administrative costs." Direct impact. Receipts included.

Our Mission:

Support humanitarian programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo through transparent, accountable fundraising that centers cultural pride and tangible results over charity clichés.

What We Launched This Month

1. Heart of Africa Live Concert

September 21, 2026 • Madison Square Garden, New York

We're bringing Afrobeats, Congolese Rumba, and the African diaspora together for one night at one of the world's most iconic venues. This isn't just a concert—it's a cultural statement and a fundraising powerhouse.

  • 100% of ticket proceeds go to Democratic Republic of Congo relief programs
  • Lineup announcement: Coming April 2026
  • Expected attendance: 20,000+
  • Projected funds raised: $2.5 million

Why Madison Square Garden? Because Democratic Republic of Congo deserves the same stage as everyone else. No small community centers. No "charity galas" in hotel ballrooms. The Garden. September 21. International Day of Peace.

2. Le Noir Cares Merchandise Line

We partnered with African diaspora designers to create a 16-piece streetwear collection that celebrates Congolese culture without clichés. No generic Africa maps. No tourist graphics. Just bold, authentic designs inspired by brands like Umeyu.

3. The HBCU-Democratic Republic of Congo Fellowship Program

Program Details:

  • Student exchange programs (virtual and in-person)
  • Joint research projects on African diaspora history
  • Mentorship connections between HBCU and Congolese students
  • Scholarship fund: $500/semester per student

Launch Date: April 2026 with 5 pilot HBCUs

Why We're Different

1. No Poverty Porn

You won't see us posting photos of crying children or using suffering to manipulate donations. We show dignity, agency, and cultural pride. Always.

2. Specific Impact, Not Vague Promises

We don't say "help feed hungry children." We say: "Your $25 funds 15 school meals in Kinshasa. Here's the receipt from the school cafeteria."

Every donation, every purchase, every program has specific, measurable outcomes. No ambiguity.

3. Cultural Authenticity

Our merchandise includes Lingala phrases. Our programs highlight Kinshasa as a cultural capital. We reference the DRC flag colors intentionally. We celebrate Congolese resilience and innovation, not just challenges.

4. 100% of profit Split

Most nonprofits spend 20-30% on programs. We flip that model. Here's our commitment:

  • 100% → Direct programs (education, healthcare, economic development)
  • 20-25% → Operations (platform, staff, legal)
  • 15-20% → Marketing & growth (to raise MORE money for programs)

Every month, we'll publish the exact breakdown. No hiding. No fuzzy math.

What's Next (April 2026)

April Goals:

  • Announce Heart of Africa Live lineup (5+ major Afrobeats/Rumba artists)
  • Launch HBCU-Democratic Republic of Congo Fellowship with 5 pilot schools
  • First merchandise sales → Track impact transparently
  • Partner with 3 corporate sponsors for matching gift programs
  • Publish detailed impact methodology (how we measure success)
